Buxton Day of a Dance
The annual day of traditional dance fills the streets of Buxton with the music, colour, passion, energy & humour that the Morris brings. Over 200 dancers & musicians from up to 20 different dancing sides perform throughout the day from 10.30 -4.30.
Organised by local side Chapel-en-le-Frith Morris Men. As well as traditional energetic Cotswold Morris with hankies and sticks you will be able to see: stomping North West Morris with clogs and big bands; wild and exciting Border Morris with rag coats and painted faces; exuberant Appalachian step dancing; zany Molly dancing with scarves and a bearded ‘lady’; and some fast and furious Rapper sword dancing.
All guaranteed to get your feet tapping.
